LetteronDemand Director attends Royal Lunch
On 10th March 2009, Joke van der Ven, director of LetteronDemand, enjoyed a very special lunch. She was one of the guests at a Royal Lunch which took place at Palace Noordeinde, a working palace located in The Hague.
Twice a year the Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and his wife Princess Maxima invite a selected group of guests for a ‘Stars Lunch’.
All of the guests are particularly distinguished in their own area and are often prize-winners or recipients of industry awards. Joke van der Ven was invited as winner of the FZ Female Entrepreneur of the Year 2008.
Other guests included Robin van Galen, awarded Coach of the Year when his female water polo team won gold at the Olympics last year. Also attending was Sportsman of the Year Maarten van der Weyden, renowned for his Olympic gold medal-winning ten kilometre open water swim. The media industry was represented by Patrick Lodiers – awarded an International Emmy for his television programme The Big Donor Show.
All the guests were able to spend some time with the Prince and Princess during the two-hour lunch.
Afterwards a group photo was taken, including Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima. By request of the Royal House the photo is simply meant as a private memento for the guests, so we cannot display it here. Nonetheless it was an honourable event which leaves a lasting impact on all the guests' lives.
